Qualifications and Biography of instructors ~  Jim and Suzi have been certified DanceSport Athletes by USISTD and are owners of Des Moines Dance.  They are the 2012 National Senior IV Champions in American Smooth and 3rd place finisher in the National Senior IV International Standard Championships.  They are a DanceSport competition couple that knows the moves and takes it on the road around the USA to the competition dance floor.  Learn the right step and how to lead and follow as you dance.  First place in the Gold division at the USA Dance 2004 National Championships, finalist at the championship level at the USA Dance 2007 National Championships, and first place in Heart of America 2008 at the Championship level. 

Jim and Suzi have been trained by various national champions and have had lessons from over 15 professional national champions as well as lesson from a professional couple ranked number 2 in Italy and number 5 in the world.  They have also take many lessons from a professional who was the first person to ever win both the Standard and Latin championship at Blackpool, England, which is one of the most pretegious competitions in the world.

Their primary interest is to teach couples who are seriously interested in improving their dance (socially or competitively) and are willing to practice the dances they are learning.
